Black Feather was created in the 1980s by the renowned Dutch mountaineer Wimal Hoffin. The first prototypes were not made for shopping malls but for big walls and frozen ridges — where one extra gram, or one cold spot, decides the day. Refining new crafts and new technology, the brand grew from an extreme climbing and mountaineering technical label into a full outdoor range spanning sport and city leisure — and won the trust of professional climbing teams across Europe.
