OUR ORIGIN
Founded by a Dutch mountaineer in the 1980s
Black Feather was created in the 1980s by the renowned Dutch climber Wimal Hoffin. From the very start the brand was devoted to professional outdoor apparel — refining new crafts and new technology. What began as a technical label for extreme rock-climbing and mountaineering has grown into a full outdoor range spanning sport and city leisure, and is favoured by professional climbing teams across Europe. On the road to the unknown, Black Feather walks with you — to new heights.
THE FABRIC
Thermal-reflection warmth, weightless on the skin
Designed by a German designer, Black Feather thermal underwear is made with imported heat-reflective high-tech fabric and state-of-the-art seamless knitting equipment. It keeps out the cold, holds in body heat, wicks sweat and breathes — dyed with natural plant dyes that never fade or run, so a base layer stays odour-free, light and comfortable against the skin. It adds no burden while you move or climb, and outperforms traditional natural fibres such as cotton, wool and down. Easy to wash, quick to dry.
IN CHINA
Brought to China in the 1990s
In the 1990s Black Feather was introduced to China through factory-direct sales promoted by Tsinghua, Peking and Beijing Language and Culture universities. Fair prices and proven warmth earned it a devoted following — and against comparable products on the market it holds a clear advantage.
